Citizens Coop out of Floyd has officially come on board as a major sponsor of events at Chantilly Farm! The local telecommunications and internet service provider will be installing DSL/WiFi at Chantilly Farm that can be used during events at the venue. We'd like to thank Joy Gardner and the rest of the team at Citizens Coop for their hard work in helping us pull this together!

John Beegle, of Bootleg BBQ and Beegle Landscaping, has also come on board as a major sponsor at Chantilly Farm! John is designing and installing landscaping at the front entrance to Chantilly Farm. John will also have his brand new Bootleg BBQ trailer set up at the 2nd Annual Bluegrass and BBQ Festival on May 26! Don't miss it!

Mitchell Music Company and the Floyd Music School have been supporters of the Chantilly Farm project and the Bluegrass Festival from the very beginning. Stop by their store located in Downtown Floyd to check out their extensive selection of musical instruments and accessories! In addition, the Floyd Music School offers a wide range of music education classes for children and adults alike! Don't miss out on their Spring Recital taking place on the Community Stage at this year's Bluegrass and BBQ Festival on May 26!

Brooks Brothers Excavating out of Boones Mill has been hard at work for the last year helping us develop the infrastructure at Chantilly Farm. From the roads built throughout the farm to the installation of water lines, these guys can do it all! Their artistry and attention to detail are second to none and we can't say enough about how impressed we've been with everything they do! Thank you Don and Henry!

Streamline Timberworks will be building some great wooden benches for our hiking trails at Chantilly Farm! Streamline, owned by Steve Arthur of Floyd, is known far and wide for their incredibly crafted timber frame projects.

A big thanks to Kim Turman and the team at Harvey's for all their help!

Eric Nicely of Blue Ridge Buildings Plus, has built a beautiful information kiosk that was recently installed at the entrance to Chantilly Farm. The kiosk contains information about Chantilly Farm and the surrounding area as well as a covered section that can be used for business cards, rack cards, or magazines. Eric is also doing some work on our new welcome center/ticketing area as well as providing a small cabin near the front entrance! Thank you Eric for all of your hard work!

Updates on the Progress at Chantilly Farm

We're only one year into the development of Chantilly Farm and things couldn't be going more smoothly. This year's incredibly mild winter has given us an opportunity to move forward on further infrastructure improvements at Chantilly!

The first stages of an informational kiosk being installed at the entrance to Chantilly Farm.
A big thank you to Eric Knicely of Blue Ridge Buildings Plus for constructing an information kiosk that will be installed at the main entrance to Chantilly Farm. When completed, the kiosk will serve as a place for tourists and locals alike to learn about upcoming events, local information, and more.

Construction crews started working on the the first permanent stage at Chantilly Farm.

Price Buildings is nearing completion of a permanent Pavilion/Stage in one section of the farm. The new stage will be ready in time for the 2nd Annual Bluegrass and BBQ Festival in May, but will also serve as a great place to hold weddings, outdoor recitals, concerts, and other events.

With the help of Haynes Well Drilling, we've recently completed a new water well that will be used as a potable water source for the venue. Brooks Brothers Excavating designed and installed a new 3,000 gallon spring storage tank that can be used for agricultural purposes.

If you or someone you know is interested in having an event at Chantilly Farm, contact us for more info!

Chantilly Farm Gives Back to Neighbors in Need

Charities which serve local families were thankful to receive donations collected during Chantilly Farm's Heart of the Holidays event.  The amounts of food and clothing which were amassed by the drive are what made the day a success. Since many in the local community are struggling to make ends meet, these items can make a big difference this holiday season. In fact, the food donations alone were one of the largest ever received by the Friends & Food program in Floyd.

Randy McDaniel, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church and administrator of the Friends and Food program commented, "We're so thankful for Chantilly Farm and the tremendous effort they made on their recent food drive. At a time when we've seen record levels of need in the community, it's so encouraging to see organizations like this stepping forward to help fill that need. Our Friends and Food program recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, and I must say, this is one of the largest donations of food we've ever received."

A variety of new clothing was collected during the charity drive, all of which was donated to the United Way of the New River Valley. The organization serves the counties of Floyd and Montgomery, as well as the city of Radford.  UW’s Stephanie Roberts commented, "It is through the generosity and community support of donors like Chantilly Farm that [we are] able to provide services and support which are vital to improving the quality of life for our neighbors in need. Christmas is an especially important time for the families we serve."

A big THANK YOU to everyone in the community who helped us make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need this holiday season!
